Infrared
Infrared photography is unique in that the conditions needed are typically the opposite of most any other type of photography, full bright sun. Because the amount of light traveling through the lens is greatly reduced, long exposures are common, so the bright midday sun is ideal. Additionally, the long exposures often require calm wind conditions so that parts of the landscape do not move. Finally, a little bit of clouds add a tiny bit of interest in the sky.
